Dr. Melissa White was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana alongside her identical twin sister and younger sister. From an early age, she and her twin shared a passion for animal care and aspired to become veterinarians. Dr. White earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating alongside her sister.
Following veterinary school, she completed a Comparative Medicine residency at Penn State College of Medicine and worked within the Gene Therapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania. During this time, Dr. White discovered her passion for general practice medicine, caring for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and the families who love them.
Dr. White currently resides in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania with her husband and their two beloved pets, Nero and Oreo. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, fitness, skydiving, and reading.
